Navjot Kaur is an enthusiastic filmmaker and avid traveller who was born and raised in India, with a keen interest in cultural perspectives.
She earned a BA (Hons.) degree in Media Arts from Royal Holloway, University of London in 2014. In December 2019, she graduated with an MFA in Film from Syracuse University, College of Visual and Performing Arts. Her thesis research paper explored the concept of utilizing the ubiquitous nature of animation to combat Indian stereotypes.
Now residing in Los Angeles, Navjot carries the influences of her upbringing and travels into her creative projects. She has a strong background in production, directing and screenwriting, and is well-versed in animation, graphic design, editing, and cinematography. She aims to use her skills to further propel Asian representations and stories in mainstream media.
